In this post, I am going through one of the best trading strategies that I have developed. This one combines the 15min fair value gap (FVG) with 1min time frame (tf) entry making it Disgustingly Powerful!!!
Example 1. 15 Minute Time Frame
On the image above, you can probably already spot the difference between this FVG strategy and other FVG trading strategies that I have developed. If not, do NOT worry. Let’s begin with the rules.
It is important that we identify some Break Of Structure (BOS). If there is no BOS, there is NO strategy.
Contrary to other strategies where we identify a trend, in this strategy we are taking into account only the most recent price action leg.
We can see that we are clearly moving in an uptrend. Nonetheless, we said that we do not care about the overall trend, but only for the most recent price action leg.
Hence, instead of looking for a continuation, we will zoom in and we will look into the most recent leg!
We zoom in on the 15min time frame and we see that the most recent leg is this one.
In order to make it more clear, I have placed a cyan box on the most recent price action leg (see image above).
Since we broke structure towards the downside, we will go ahead and identify our bearish FVGs!
Those of you who want to overcomplicate things, might say that this push down is just a grab of liquidity on the larger picture for price to continue bullish. WE DO NOT CARE! We follow the rules and the statistics.
I identify all the bearish FVGs that we can find. In this occasion I have highlighted only the 2 larger ones. If you pay close attention there are smaller ones all the way to the top. We do not care about those because price has NOT reached there yet!
Let’s zoom in and take a closer look at the first 15min FVG. We will wait for price to come back into the FVG area, BUT with a major difference this time.
Now, instead of waiting for a reaction inside the FVG, I first want to see price penetrating the FVG (breaking above the FVG) and rejecting it!
Example 1. 1 Minute Time Frame (key to the Best 15min FVG with 1min Entry Disgustingly Powerful Strategy)
Now that we see the penetration of the 15min FVG, we scale down to the 1min time frame in order to check out things in more detail and also to see how we will enter.
On the 1min time frame, all we need to do is identify a low! What is a low? It is a low point of a certain candlestick that is lower than the low of the candlestick to its left and lower than the low of the candlestick to its right.
Now that I have identified my low, I place a horizontal line on it and I stretch it towards the right of the chart.
All I want to see now is a break with a body of a candlestick of the 1min time frame below my low. This happened with the candlestick that you see on the image above. Unlike other strategies that wait for a change of character, this type of entry is the exact thing that makes this 15min FVG with 1min Entry strategy Disgustingly Powerful!
The close of this candlestick below the low is our entry. The Stop Loss goes right above the most recent high. In this occasion, the most recent high is also the ultimate high.
Additionally, regarding Take Profit, we can target areas of liquidity from the 1 minute time frame. This would give us a 4.6/1 RR in this occasion.
Otherwise, we can target areas of liquidity from a higher time frame, such as from the 15min time frame. Feel free to follow your own plan!
Let’s move on to another example.
Example 2. 15 Minute Time Frame
Previously we saw a bearish example. We will take a look at a bullish example now!
Here, we see a break of structure to the upside. This means that our most recent leg is bullish. We have created bullish FVGs and we will buy from one of those FVGs as we will see in a bit.
Right of the bat, we see the difference between this 15min FVG strategy with 1min entry, compared to other FVG strategies. The ” correct ” one, is the one on the right that penetrated the FVG and still rejected it.
We can clearly see that the 15min candlestick (check image above) penetrated the 15min FVG and then rejected it.
All we need to do now, is scale down to the 1min time frame to find our entry.
Example 2. 1 Minute Time Frame
Further, since we are interested in buying, we have to identify a high and wait for it to be broken by a body of an 1 minute candlestick.
You can see all the details on the image above. A body of a candlestick breaks above the high later on and not as we saw in the previous example. Our SL goes below the nearest low and not below the ultimate low.
On the image above, we see things more clearly! Make sure that you understand this concept if you want to use this strategy. Focus on this part, because this is what makes this 15min FVG With 1min Entry Strategy Disgustingly Powerful!!!
Again, you can target liquidity from the 1 minute time frame or from a higher time frame according to your own backtesting. ALWAYS use proper RISK MANAGEMENT!!!!
